TV sitcom guru Chuck Lorre – who created “The Big Bang Theory” – has filed for divorce from his third wife, Arielle Lorre.
Lorre, 69, who also created “Two And A Half Men,” pulled the plug on his fateful union with Arielle after three years of marriage, TMZ and Variety reported.
The couple tied the knot in October 2018. According to court documents obtained by TMZ, Lorre claims the couple decided to go their separate ways in May.
He cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the divorce.
The couple confirmed their split in a statement to Variety: “It is with mutual consideration and respect that we have decided to part ways.
“Our plan is to move forward in different directions, but with great love, admiration and gratitude for the time we shared. We ask that you respect our privacy during this difficult time. Thank you for your support,.”
The couple had signed a prenuptial agreement prior to their marriage, the outlet adds.
Although the couple had no children during their three-year romance, Lorre has two grown children from his first marriage to Paula Smith.
According to the papers seen by the point of sale, the agreement states that he will pay both spousal alimony and attorney fees.
Arielle is best known for her social media lifestyle brand that focuses on health and wellness.
She is also the host of the podcast “The Blonde Files” and has a large social media presence of over 280,000 Instagram followers.
Emmy Award winner Lorre is considered one of the most successful TV producers in Hollywood.
In addition to “The Big Bang Theory” and “Two And A Half Men”, Lorre has “Dharma & Greg”, “Cybill”, “Mom” and “Mike and Molly” from ABC.
