Bam Margera is reportedly back in court-ordered rehab after being spotted in a Florida bar earlier this month following multiple breakouts.
According to TMZ, the “Jackass” alum’s latest stint will not require him to stay in a hospital due to his various escape attempts.
“They are going to try an outpatient approach and pray for different results,” sources told the outlet in a story published Sunday.
Margera, 42, will still need to stay sober, take classes and see a psychiatrist, according to insiders.
A Margera representative did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for comment.
The new approach comes just weeks after he was spotted at a bar in Sarasota after leaving another rehab facility.
Prior to his spotting, his family posted a statement about his struggles with “mental health and addiction” via Instagram.
“Bam is currently undergoing treatment and we are helping him with his social media as he focuses on his recovery,” they wrote in the Aug. 6 post. “We are his family who love and communicate with him to collaborate on his content and updates.”
The “Bam’s Unholy Union” alum has tried to escape rehab twice before.
Margera was reported missing in June but was found safe in a hotel room two days later. Just two weeks later, he again fled the facility and was found again shortly after at a nearby hotel.
The TV personality has struggled with substance abuse issues for years. He was arrested in 2018 for drink-driving, which resulted in a rehabilitation period. Since then, he regularly checks in and out of rehabilitation centers.
Amid his struggles, Margera’s estranged wife, Nicole Boyd, filed for custody of their 4-year-old son Phoenix in September 2021.
