Andy Cohen shared what his dating life is like now after recently becoming a father of two.
The “Watch What Happens Live” host appeared on SiriusXM’s Stern Show Summer School and spoke with hosts Gary Dell’Abate and Rahsaan Rogers about what it was like to date while being a single father.
Cohen welcomed his daughter, Lucy, in April, three years after welcoming his first child, son Benjamin, in February 2019.
Admitting that dating as a father of two young children is “emotionally chaotic,” Cohen said there’s understandably been a shift in priorities since becoming a father.
“Dating is a different story because you know I don’t. There are two kinds of people, people you want to date and people you…” Andy fell silent when host Rogers intervened, saying, “People who you want to fuck.”
“Thank you. Thank you, Rahsaan,” Cohen joked, adding, “Okay. So the answer is the dating thing that, you know, I’ve been on a few dates.”
Cohen said dating became more “emotionally chaotic in my mind.”
When asked how he determines when is a good time for his date to meet his kids, Cohen recalled a recent relationship where his boyfriend met his son.
“You know, actually this is someone my son met. I was on vacation with my son,” he said. “And I had met this man when I was on vacation. And so he actually met him.”
“I just said it when the time was right,” he added.
Cohen welcomed both of his children via surrogate – Benjamin in February 2019 and Lucy in April 2022.
Although he used several surrogates, the TV personality recently revealed that they are still “biological siblings.”
