Amelia Hamlin shaves off her newly bleached eyebrows

Amelia Hamlin is done with her bleached brows — and brows in general, for that matter.

The 21-year-old model posted videos to her Instagram Stories on Thursday showing someone shaving her eyebrows, teasing an upcoming photo shoot for Interview magazine.

“Only 4 u @melzy917 & fashion of course,” she captioned the video, trying to calm her nerves before going under the razor.

Hamlin tagged Interview Editor-in-Chief Mel Ottenberg, who was recently responsible for Kim Kardashian’s internet-breaking cover in which she bared her ass in a jockstrap (with bleached eyebrows and hair to boot).

Hamlin later posted a series of photos of the bathtub, without arches.

“Giving alien vibes,” one person commented. Another said: “Stop shaving my eyebrows.”

While most followers supported, a few begged Hamlin to “get the eyebrows back”.

Scott Disick’s ex has been shaking bleached brows on and off in recent months, leaning in even more avant-garde looks during Paris Fashion Week, as she walked the Balenciaga catwalk with fake piercings and a bald cap for the Yeezy- show by Kanye West.

This summer, she joined forces with West’s ex Julia Fox, who also has bleached eyebrows, for a sexy photo shoot on a wild night out together.

It seems that there are hardly any eyebrows now; Kylie Jenner bleached hers at Paris Fashion Week, as did Bella Hadid and Nicola Peltz. Gigi Hadid, Kim Kardashian and Paris Hilton are among the other stars to test the trend.

“In beauty, I think we’re reaching a point of self-expression and blurring the lines of beauty standards,” makeup artist Alexx Mayo, who has bleached Lizzo’s bows, told Vidak For Congress Style of the “bold” look in 2021.

“It’s a bold statement… When you soften such a dominant facial pull, it really opens up a new perspective.”

Perhaps more big names will follow the lead of Hamlin and Doja Cat and have their eyebrows disappear completely.
