Adobe has revealed a new family of generative AI models, Firefly, which focuses on text and picture production. According to the business, Firefly will provide more content production precision, speed, power, and simplicity. It will enable users of all skill levels to generate high-quality photos and impressive text effects.
The business has released the beta version of the first Firefly model intended for commercial use. It will be immediately integrated into the workflows of Creative Cloud, Experience Cloud, Document Cloud, and Adobe Express.
Providing Authors with Fresh Superpowers
According to the U.S.-based startup, Firefly will provide all creators with superpowers to assist them in bringing their dreams to life. The application enables users to produce content using their own words according to how they envision it. From pictures, texts, vectors, movies, and 3D to the use of creative features like color gradients, brushes, and video transformation, Firefly provides unparalleled speed and simplicity.
Firefly, which is supported by generative AI, generates infinite variants and enables numerous modifications in the most efficient manner. Adobe said that it will incorporate Firefly into its market-leading tools and services, enabling customers to use the potential of generative AI within their workflows.
“With Firefly, Adobe will integrate generative AI-powered ‘creative ingredients’ directly into client workflows, enhancing efficiency and creative expression for all creators, from high-end creative pros to the long tail of the creator economy,” Wadhwani continued.
Adobe will engage with the creative community and customers through its beta process as the AI-powered tool matures and is integrated into other products. Firefly will first benefit Adobe Express, Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Illustrator, and Adobe Photoshop.
Superior image quality for content
According to Adobe, Firefly is created using different models that have been customized to accommodate consumers with varying degrees of expertise, skill sets, and technical knowledge. It will focus on pictures and text effects and is the first model to be trained on Adobe Stock photos.
Adobe Stock photos are publicly licensed material and content in the public domain whose copyright has expired, with an emphasis on providing content that is safe for commercial usage. It contains millions of licensed, high-quality, professional photos to ensure that Firefly does not produce material based on other companies or individual branding.
Adobe has said that future Firefly models would employ a variety of Adobe and third-party assets, technologies, and training data. Also, the firm is devoted to combating negative prejudice.
