Alex Rodriquez is happy where he and ex-fiance Jennifer Lopez left off.
The former MLB star spoke to Martha Stewart on Wednesday’s episode of her podcast, “The Martha Stewart Show,” giving his superstar ex-boyfriend nothing but praise.
“Here’s what I’ll tell you about Jennifer, and I told some of my colleagues here recently that she’s the most talented human being I’ve ever had,” the 46-year-old said. “The hardest worker. And I think she’s the greatest artist, live artist in the world that’s still alive.”
Rodriquez and Lopez first started dating in February 2017, but ended four years later, just months after the third baseman got down on one knee.
“Look, we had a great time,” he said as he reflected on their relationship. “More importantly, we always put the kids at the center of everything we do.”
The three-time MVP is father to Natasha (17) and Ella (14) with ex-wife Cynthia Scurtis, while the “On the Floor” singer is mother to 14-year-old twins Emme and Maximilian with ex-husband Mark Anthony.
Rodriguez’s father left his family when he was only 10 years old and shared that it has now been “the greatest gift to raise his daughters”.
While it appears the couple has ended their relationship, they still wish “the best for each other and each other’s children.”
Since then, the ‘Marry Me’ actor has rekindled her love for Ben Affleck – to whom she was briefly engaged in 2004. The two seemed to be back in line when the actor re-posted the question earlier this year.
