Texas fashion influencer Lizzy Savetsky is the first woman to be cast in the reboot of the “Real Housewives of New York City,” Vidak For Congress announced Monday exclusively.
Here’s everything you need to know about her before filming begins:
What profession does she practice?
Savetsky is a social media influencer with over 204,000 followers on Instagram. She often posts about her Jewish faith, shares a Yiddish word of the week, and explains Jewish traditions. She also shows her daughter’s “Torah Corner”.
“My spiritual connection has grown exponentially. I have not seen God so lovingly when I was so dark. God’s love is so deep. I’ve reshaped my entire relationship with God,” she told Aish.com last month.
She also posts about fashion, skincare, her family, travel and her move from Texas to the Big Apple. She started her career as an influencer with a blog called ‘Excessories Expert’, which focused on accessories. She eventually moved her content to Instagram.
Is she married?
Savetsky is married to her plastic surgeon husband Dr. Ira Savetsky. He specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, nose, breasts and body, according to his Instagram bio. Lizzy regularly posts videos with him and encourages her followers to book a consultation with him.
The couple met more than 14 years ago when Ira took Lizzy to the New York Philharmonic in Central Park at the age of 19. They tied the knot four years later and have been together ever since.
“I was a unicorn, a Jew, from Texas, who still found my religion,” she told the Texas Jewish Post in October. “He was born and raised in an observant family. In the end it worked!”
Does she have children?
Lizzy and Ira have three children together: Stella, Juliet and Ollie.
She often shows off their kids on her Instagram page and even documented her pregnancy issues prior to Ollie.
Where is she from?
Lizzy was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. She competed in cheerleading, sang on country music shows, and competed in Miss Teen Texas — eventually taking third place in 2002.
“She lives in the spotlight and uses her megaphone to talk about Israel, Jewish issues and Torah,” her father Marvin Blum told TJP in October. “We couldn’t be prouder because she has always driven the train and we just keep going in unimaginable directions.”
In 2004, she moved to New York City to attend New York University, where she met her now-husband.
The two married in 2010 and moved to Philadelphia for his residency. She received her Master’s Degree in Reading, Writing, and Literacy from the University of Pennsylvania in 2010, according to her LinkedIn.
The couple then moved to Dallas for his fellowship and they raised their three children there until they announced they would be moving back to NYC in May. The family of five moved in August 2022.
Is she friends with stars from “Real Housewives”?
Luckily for Lizzy, it turns out she has quite a few friends in the Bravoverse. “Real Housewives of Dallas” star Dr. She and Tiffany Moon are good friends, and Moon regularly comments on her Instagram posts.
“RHONY” sophomore Leah McSweeney also follows her, along with Lisa Barlow of “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,” “Real Housewives of Orange County” alum Meghan King, and “Real Housewives of New Jersey” friend Traci Johnson.
