The son of the late “Glee” star Naya Rivera, Josey, is officially a first-grader.
6-year-old’s father, Ryan Dorsey, marked the milestone by sharing adorable back-to-school photos via his Instagram on Tuesday.
“Dear Summer, what happened? How did you go so fast? Kindergarten has just ended. Now we are in 1st class!” the actor, 39, captioned it.
“My big boy. @joseydorsey I love you so much!!
In the social media slideshow, the little one proudly held up one finger as he posed in a floral shirt, camo shorts and checked Vans sneakers.
One of Rivera’s former “Glee” co-stars Jenna Ushkowitz responded to the post with multiple heart emojis.
When Josey graduated from kindergarten in June, Ushkowitz, 36, also sent him “congratulations” on the app.
“I can’t believe it, but it’s officially ✌️out Kindergarten!!!!🧑🎓,” Dorsey captioned the ceremony photos posted to his own account at the time.
“My son is really a big boy now on his way to 1st grade?!” the “Justified” alum continued.
“I love you so much and you make me so proud to be your father! Up and on to the next chapter my little man!! ️.”
Josey was with Rivera when his mother tragically drowned near Lake Piru, California in July 2020. The actress was laid to rest three weeks after her death.
As they marked the first anniversary of Rivera’s funeral, Dorsey called their son “resilient” and “strong” in an emotional Instagram post.
“He’s fine,” wrote the “Ray Donovan” alum in July 2021. “He misses you, but know he’ll see you again, and the invisible string is something that has helped us through this ever-evolving transition. “
Dorsey, who was married to Rivera from 2014 to 2018, added that Josey was “raised well” by “a lot of family and people around him who love him”.
