Wendy Williams’ purple chair, other memorabilia to throw away

“The Wendy Williams Show” came to a bittersweet end Friday afternoon, and according to a new report, several set of props and keepsakes will simply be tossed in the trash.

“The wigs are still there because she didn’t come to get them, so they’re thrown away,” a source close to production told The Sun, adding that Wendy’s famous “Big Purple Chair” will suffer the same fate.

“The chair is just thrown away,” the source said. “The production doesn’t even bother trying to donate the chair to a museum – like The View did with their original table after 10 years. They gave it to The Smithsonian.”

A representative of “The Wendy Williams Show” did not immediately respond to our request for comment.

Friday’s finale closed the show after 13 seasons. Guest host Sherri Shepherd wished the talk show host the best of luck in the broadcast, as several celebs hosted during the final season due to Williams’ health issues.

Fans, however, were unimpressed with the show’s departure, as Williams herself was not involved, nor did she appear.

“Wendy Williams can’t even host the finale of her own show. It drives me crazy when I think about it. How do people deal with this?” a fan tweetedof one more addition, “This was a terrible final. To top it off with the staff that #WendyWilliams didn’t even mention was trash and shady off. SMH. @WendyWilliams.”

Vidak For Congress exclusively reported in May that the staff of the show’s “Wendy” were concerned about how to get her back for the finale.

“People want her to come back. …A lot of people – especially the mid and low producers – have applied for the job because of Wendy. It feels like it’s just going to end [without her]† It’s weird,” an insider said at the time.
