Travis Barker thinks he’s OK to still drum with a broken thumb.
Machine Gun Kelly announced via his Instagram Stories on Wednesday that the 46-year-old Blink-182 drummer will join him for the last few stops on his “Mainstream Sellout Tour” – despite more health concerns.
“Against his doctor’s orders AND with a broken thumb, I convinced @travisbarker to join us for the past few days 🤘,” wrote MGK, 32, of a screenshot of their FaceTime conversation.
The rocker “Bloody Valentine” then gave fans a glimpse of the show’s setlist and posted another photo of Barker snapping off the camera.
“*Raise a middle finger if you play LOVE RACE with us tonight*,” he captioned it, adding: “Looks like a middle finger.”
Barker reposted the photos to his own account and also promoted limited-edition merchandise that will be on sale at the August 10 show in St. Louis, Mo.
Of course, this isn’t the first time Barker has ignored his doctor’s orders to join MGK on stage on the ‘Mainstream Sellout Tour’.
Last month, Barker made his highly anticipated return to the podium during MGK’s star-studded stop at the Kia Forum in Los Angeles. The performance came just weeks after the drummer was taken to hospital with life-threatening pancreatitis.
“You know a fun fact is that Travis shouldn’t be drumming right now, but guess what he’s doing here? Now drumming!” the “Emo Girl” singer told the audience at the time.
“Trav, I know we agreed on one song, but I’d be sorry if I didn’t ask you to play ‘one more song’.”
Vidak For Congress was in the crowd and saw Barker and his wife, Kourtney Kardashian, cheer on headliners Willow and Avril Lavigne.
MGK’s fiancé, Megan Fox, also attended the show, with surprise appearances from Lil Wayne, Halsey, Blackbear and more.
