Kaley Cuoco immediately fell for her boyfriend Tom Pelphrey.
“When I met Tom, it was love at first sight,” the 36-year-old “Big Bang Theory” alum told the 40-year-old “Ozark” star’s “Extra”.
Cuoco reflected on the moment she and Pelphrey first closed their eyes, revealing that it happened when she attended the season 4 premiere of his Netflix show in April.
“We have the same management team. … My manager actually took me as her guest to the ‘Ozark’ premiere, and I met him there,” she said. “It was as if the angels started to sing. I was like, ‘Hallelujah.’ It was very magical. … It was perfect.”
The “Flight Attendant” star noted that things might have turned out differently had she met Pelphrey at a different time in her life.
“Last year was a tough year. I met Tom this year, and it took me a long time to … look inside myself and realize that I need to figure things out and have done a lot of therapy and self-reflection, met Tom at the right time,” she said.
“That’s why I think I’m against time travel, because I don’t want to ruin that timeline. … It’s all supposed to happen as it’s supposed to happen.”
Cuoco, who gave the interview at the New York City premiere of her time travel-focused Peacock movie, “Meet Cute,” quipped, “Don’t mess with it unless you’re in a really cute movie.”
The “8 Simple Rules” alum announced in May that she was dating Pelphrey by posting PDA-filled photos to social media. That same month, they made their first public appearance together at a Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. The couple made their red carpet debut earlier this month at the 2022 Emmy Awards.
Despite finding love with Pelphrey, the twice-divorced actress has said she has no intention of ever getting married again.
“I would like to enter into a long-term relationship or partnership. But I will never marry again. Absolutely not. You can literally put that on the cover,” she told Glamor in April.
Cuoco filed for divorce from rider Karl Cook in September 2021, shortly after news broke that they had split after four years of marriage. They finalized their divorce in June. Two months later, she said her divorce was a “dark time” in her life.
“I threw myself into work to deny my depression, and how upset I was. Unfortunately, the character [Cassandra Bowden in ‘The Flight Attendant’] was so depressed it didn’t help me!” she then said. “I had a really, really, really hard time. Lots of tears.”
The Emmy nominee was previously married to former tennis player Ryan Sweeting from 2013 to 2016.
