Tom Brady made a dark joke this weekend about possible suitors his 9-year-old daughter Vivian might have in the future.
The 45-year-old Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback posted a photo of a Halloween headstone to his Instagram stories on Sunday with the words “Anyone who dates my daughter.”
“I want to be crystal clear,” Brady added to the image alongside two crying laughing emojis and a red heart to indicate he was joking.
Vivian is the NFL star’s only daughter with wife Gisele Bündchen. The couple also share a son, Benjamin, 12, and Brady has an older son, John, 15, with ex-girlfriend Bridget Moynahan.
Sources recently told Vidak For Congress that the all-star athlete is focused on being the best possible father to his children amid claims of marital strife with his supermodel husband.
“He’s with the kids and just trying to be a super dad,” an insider told us in September.
A source previously claimed that Brady and Bündchen, 42, had issues with the footballer’s decision to “retire”, noting that “Gisele has always been the one with the kids.”
“They had agreed that he would retire to focus on the family, but then he changed his mind,” the insider added.
Brady spoke out about the importance of family after reports of marital quarrels.
“Football and family have always been the most important to me, so it’s a good time of year,” the father of three said on his SiriusXM podcast, “Let’s Go! with Tom Brady, Larry Fitzgerald and Jim Gray,” after he had won his first game of the season.
He continued: “I find peace in other ways of living and just enjoy the time with my children – [they] get a little older.”
Weeks later, Jack, Benjamin and Vivian were spotted at the Buccaneers’ first home game of the season – without Bündchen.
Before kick-off Brady considering sharing a sweet moment with his children when he went to give them a kiss and a hug on the field.
