Tom Brady and Gisele Bündchen appear to be headed for the end zone: Both have retained divorce lawyers, multiple sources told Vidak For Congress.
As previously revealed, the pair have been living apart for the past few months after an epic battle — and they’re now apparently dividing their multi-million dollar empire.
“I never thought this argument would be the end of them, but it looks like it,” a well-known source told Vidak For Congress this week.
“I don’t think anything will come back now. They both have a lawyer and are looking at what a split entails, who gets what and what the finances will be.”
Representatives for Brady and Bündchen did not respond to requests for comment.
Insiders close to the seven-time Super Bowl champion, 45, and the supermodel, 42, say both are deeply involved in their children’s lives and would share joint custody of a divorce.
They share son Benjamin, 12, and daughter Vivian, 9, and Brady is also the father of son Jack, 15, with ex Bridget Moynahan.
The pair would likely file in Florida, as they are primarily based there, legal experts said. Another source known to the couple confirmed they are now looking at dividing their assets, which include a $26 million real estate portfolio.
From 2021 to 2022, Brady’s estimated total net worth grew from $180 million to $250 million. In May, Forbes reported that he is now the ninth highest paid athlete in the world, with the likes of Under Armour, Sam Adams, Foot Locker and Tag Heuer.
As Vidak For Congress first reported in December 2020, their most recent real estate purchase was a $17 million home on Miami’s Indian Creek Island, nicknamed “Billionaires Bunker.” They planned to tear down the 5172 square foot five-bedroom mansion on the two-acre lot and build a new one.
But work on the ground has recently stalled amid the failed marriages.
The couple also owns a $3.6 million apartment at 70 Vestry Street in Tribeca, as well as a $5.7 million property at developer Mike Meldman’s Yellowstone Club in Montana.
Bündchen’s favorite home is considered their secluded home on Costa Rica’s Nicoya Peninsula, where the family often vacations.
Before Hurricane Ian, the two fled both Tampa, where Brady plays for the Buccaneers, and Miami, where they have stayed apart. Bündchen has been spotted there in recent days.
A source told us that Bündchen has stayed in the Miami house she and Brady rented in 2020; it’s not clear where Brady was holed up.
While sources close to Bündchen have emphasized that it is “sexist” to say the split is related to the model’s problems with Brady opting out of retirement, the well-known source said: “As with many marriages, it is not just one thing Gisele made it clear that she was concerned about Tom playing football and that they had talked a lot about it.
“But they’ve had a series of explosions over the past few years and this time it seems there’s no turning back.”
