LG’s slimmer OLED panels
OLED panel makers employ two glass substrates. Thin Film Encapsulation (TFE) replaces the top substrate in this revolutionary technique. It resembles foldable display production. This technique will reduce the bottom substrate thickness from 0.5mm to 0.2mm.
Thinner panel issues
Thinner displays may have drawbacks. Transporting these screens to the next production stage might shatter them.
