The Weeknd had a decent weekend.
The “I Can’t Feel My Face” singer was seen club-hopping until nearly 7am with a huge entourage after his sold-out performance at Miami’s Hard Rock Stadium Saturday night.
We’re told The Weeknd — whose real name is Abel Makkonen Tesfaye — arrived at Liv’s nightclub around 2 a.m., where he hooked up with fellow recording artist Shawn Mendes, 24, and club owner David Grutman who was already partying. was in the DJ booth.
“Kaytranada was playing his set when The Weeknd used the microphone and played a handful of songs to screaming fans,” an insider told Vidak For Congress.
The source added: “Shawn also hung out in the DJ booth all night and seemed to love singing along to the lyrics.”
The Weeknd, 32, was seen rocking a black t-shirt and sunglasses while driving the crowd behind the DJ booth as Mendes partied nearby in a plain white tank top.
Last month, Mendes announced that he was canceling the rest of his tour to prioritize his mental health. The singer was spotted looking cheerful as he hit the beach in Miami ahead of his clubbing outings.
After partying with the “Señorita” singer, another source tells us that The Weeknd even went to megaclub E11 in Miami with about 50 friends around 3:30 a.m.
“[The Weeknd] arrived with a large crew of about 50 people and partied in the middle of the club,” the second source said, adding that DJ Vice played remixes of his songs and “the group partied until almost 7am”
We hear that there were no ladies in his group, but that The Weeknd “looked really fit” and that his crew ordered “tonfuls of bottles” of Don Julio 1942.
