Garcelle Beauvais’ son, Jax, gained support from her “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” co-stars after the 14-year-old shared racist comments from social media users.
All of the reality star’s castmates — including her flashing lights, Erika Jayne, Diana Jenkins and Lisa Rinna — took to their Instagram pages on Wednesday to share a message of support from Bravo.
“We are shocked and appalled at the social comments directed at Garcelle’s son,” the statement said. “We urge our viewers and social media followers not to target our cast and their families with harmful rhetoric.”
Kyle Richards, Kathy Hilton, Sutton Stracke, Crystal Kung Minkoff and Dorit Kemsley posted the image to their Instagram feeds with no captions, as well as Richards’ husband Mauricio Umansky, Rinna’s husband Harry Hamlin and Kemsley’s husband Paul” PK” Kemsley.
As for newcomer Sheree Zampino, she wrote, “In full agreement @BravoTv LEAVE our kids ALONE! Love you and support you @garcelle ❤️.”
Rinna, 59, was the first to speak out earlier this week about the “disgusting” comments fans wrote about the teen.
“We are doing a TV show. We’re trying to entertain you – why the hell can’t you treat it like wrestling,” she wrote on her Instagram Story Tuesday, asking social media users to “leave the kids alone!”
The former soap star concluded: “They didn’t sign up for this. What are [you] doing?! The kids – all our kids should be off limits, so stop now. Enough is enough.”
Jenkins, who was arguing with Beauvais on social media prior to this situation, wrote a post the next day about rumors she had a hand in bots commenting on Jax’s Instagram uploads.
“I am shocked by recent comments directed at the child of one of my fellow RHOBH cast members,” the 48-year-old wrote Wednesday. “No one should be treated like this, especially children.”
When Beauvais, 55, revealed she was “in tears all night” about the trolls, other “RHOBH” personalities commented on their support.
“LEAVE THEM ALONE,” Kung Minkoff wrote, while Kemsley, 46, added, “NOT OK!.”
Hilton, 63, called the hate “disgusting and unacceptable,” while Stracke, 50, chimed in: “We love you Jax!💗💗”
“Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice also showed her support for her fellow Housewife on Wednesday.
“It pains me that @garcelle and her family have to put up with hateful and disgusting messages,” wrote Giudice, 50, alongside a stock photo of a child holding a mother’s hand. “I am heartbroken for everyone who is on the receiving end of this hateful bullying.
“Stop this despicable behavior,” she continued. “All we want is for our children to grow up in an accepting loving world, we all deserve that.”
Jax himself used his mother’s platform to respond to the “racist and rude comments” he received from “middle-aged women.”
“I’d like to start by saying I’m still a kid and don’t want to be seen as a full grown adult because I’m not,” the teen’s statement began. “It’s currently my first week in high school and instead of enjoying it like most kids at my school, I’m dealing with social media attacks.”
Jax explained that he “didn’t sign for this show, and neither did” [he] have something to do with the drama of the show.”
The student stressed that his Instagram is not for “publicity or the public eye, but to be seen” by his other teenage friends, writing, “I just want to be a normal kid.”
Many of the snide comments Jax received – which he shared on Tuesday – revolved around Beauvais “using that race for everything” on “RHOBH.” Others focused on the drug addiction and recovery of the former model’s oldest son, Oliver.
One message aimed at Jax in particular was “too far,” he wrote via Instagram Stories.
The gruesome comment read, “You’d drop your neck to your knees if your white father wasn’t around, [Michael Nilon]. Tell your mother to leave Diana alone or you’ll deal with us.’
Both Jax and his mother shared their gratitude for those in the Bravo community who have spoken out in support of their families.
“I want to say a big thank you to everyone who has supported Jax and me, it means the world,” Beauvais tweeted on Wednesday.
