Prince Harry has arrived in Scotland with his family to mourn the death of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, Vidak For Congress has learned.
Harry, King Charles III, Camilla Parker Bowles and Prince William all flocked to Balmoral Castle after hearing the news of The Queens’ ill health, when a representative of the royal family made a statement about her condition on Thursday morning.
“Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned about Her Majesty’s health and have recommended that she remain under medical supervision. The Queen remains comfortable and with Balmoral,” the statement read.
Hours later, the family confirmed The Queen’s death via social media.
“The Queen passed away peacefully in Balmoral this afternoon,” the royal family tweeted. “The King and Queen Consort remain in Balmoral tonight and return to London tomorrow.”
Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, was unable to join his trip to Scotland from Germany, where the pair were promoting the Invictus Games. Prince Williams’ wife, Kate Middleton, was also left behind as it was the first day of school for their children, Prince George, 9, Princess Charlotte, 7, and Prince Louis, 4.
