Paige Lorenze claims she was taken aback when her ex-boyfriend Tyler Cameron announced the breakup during a TV interview.
“I had no idea he was talking to the media 😀,” the model wrote Monday night in a since-deleted comment on TikToker’s Zachary Reality account.
“But I’m not ashamed, I walked away,” she clarified. “Just strange.”
Cameron’s representatives did not immediately respond to Vidak For Congress’s request for comment.
In the reality star’s defense, he seemed taken aback when his “Real Dirty Dancing” co-star Loni Love asked about his relationship with Lorenze at the start of his performance on E!’s “Daily Pop” Monday morning.
“I’ll tell you something, Loni. We actually had to take a step back,” Cameron reacted awkwardly. “It was not the right time. It was not good for us. So we’re back not dating anymore.”
The “Bachelorette” alum, who came second in Hannah Brown’s 2019 season, added that he and Lorenze “both have a lot of respect and love for each other” despite the romantic parting.
The 24-year-old social media influencer shared a similar sentiment, telling Vidak For Congress in a statement Monday afternoon: “Yes, I’m single. There was no dramatic rift or bad blood between us.”
She noted that her clothing brand, Dairy Boy, became her “priority” and that she should stay in New York City, while Cameron, 29, lives in Florida.
“I’ve always made such big life adjustments for my partners in the past, but for now it’s focusing on me where I am,” Lorenze continued. “It feels good to finally be comfortable with being selfish and putting myself and my future first.”
Vidak For Congress exclusively revealed the news about the now former couple’s relationship in early July. We later got the first pictures of them kissing, which confirmed our report.
Cameron and Lorenze went Instagram official in late July, but like her previous relationship with country singer Morgan Wallen, she became a single woman again shortly after going public.
