Nick Cannon admitted he believes he had a once-in-a-lifetime love affair with ex-wife Mariah Carey, saying their ill-fated romance was nothing short of a “fairy tale” and that he didn’t close the door on them. . one day back together.
The 41-year-old comedian appeared on The Hottee Talk Show Podcast on Wednesday and said he will never “have a love like I had with Maiah.”
“I am a true believer in love and I let the capsules of love be where they lie. I’m not a timeline guy,” he told host Tee.
“It was literally a fairytale with Mariah, so I’d rather it just be that way. I appreciate that fantasy because if I tried to go back and it wasn’t the same, I’d be like, ‘Damn, I screwed up,'” he continued.
But he added: “If I had the chance, if it could be the way it was, I’ll be there.”
Cannon was married to 53-year-old “Songbird Supreme” from 2008 to 2016. The couple shares 11-year-old twins Monroe and Moroccan.
Cannon and model Bre Tiesi are currently expecting a child, Cannon’s eighth child and Tiesi’s first.
In addition to his two children with Carey, the host of “Masked Singer” is already father to 4-year-old son Golden “Sagon” and 1-year-old daughter Powerful Queen with Brittany Bell; and 7-month-old twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir with Abby De La Rosa.
Cannon and Alyssa Scott were also parents to a son named Zen, who died on December 5 at 5 months old after being diagnosed with brain cancer last year.
The latest pregnancy serves as an added surprise, as Cannon said in October that he was trying to remain celibate until 2022 — a goal he definitely didn’t seem to achieve.
