Maya Vander has a miscarriage six months after stillbirth

Maya Vander miscarried six months after giving birth to her stillborn son.

The 40-year-old “Selling Sunset” shared the news of pregnancy loss with her fans via Instagram Stories and posted a photo of her 3-year-old son Aiden, sleeping.

“I’ve had a really crazy week,” the Netflix reality star wrote with the sweet snap. “Miscarriage at 10 weeks…after my stillbirth…but my kids and my husband are definitely my blessing and I am so lucky to be their mother!”

Vander has credited her partner, Dave, Aiden and her 2-year-old daughter, Elle, with bringing “joy and happiness” during her grieving process.

The broker further advised her followers to “hug and love the people”. [they] care,” concluding, “Don’t take things for granted.”

Vander welcomed her son and daughter in April 2019 and May 2020 respectively. In July 2021, she revealed she was pregnant with her third baby.

“Here we go again,” the reality star wrote at the time in her baby belly debut. “Baby No. 3 is going to be our Christmas/Hanukkah present! †

Five months later, Vander was stillborn and posted an Instagram photo of the keepsake box she brought home from the hospital.

“I don’t wish this on anyone,” she wrote in December 2021. “What was a regular weekly checkup turned into a nightmare I can never imagine happening to me. … You’ll always be in my heart, baby Mason. ”

Earlier this month, Vander looked back at the tragedy. She explained how doing “healthy distractions” and “moving” her body helped her heal.

“Everyone deals with loss in their own way, but for me it’s important to keep busy,” she explains via Instagram. “From my own experiences I know that the pain of loss will not heal overnight, but today is a great day to begin or continue the healing process.”
