Martha Stewart combines Fashion Nova set with designer accessories

Just call her budget chic.

Martha Stewart surprised fans with her affordable style over the weekend, posting an Instagram photo of herself in a glittering gold lounge set from fast fashion retailer Fashion Nova — and her followers were mixed about the choice.

Posing in a sparkly tunic with matching pants, the cookbook author held her sunglasses in a glamorous pose as she visited Las Vegas to celebrate the launch of her first restaurant, Martha Stewart’s The Bedford.

She added some luxe accessories to her casual look, choosing glittery Simon Miller “Bubble” clogs ($425) and Brunello Cucinelli’s shoulder-grazing earrings ($1,795) to take the ensemble to the next level.

In a second photo, Stewart stood next to a golf cart, holding a shiny gold crossbody bag, and wrote: ‘@fashionnova made my very chic yet inexpensive two-piece leisure suit with gold splatter. worn with @brunellocucinelli_brand earrings and @simonmillerusa clogs. perfect for a press lunch over @thebedfordbymarthastewart.”

Chrissy Tiegen, for example, was excited about the lifestyle guru’s style shift. “MARTHA X FASHION NOVA PLEASE GOD,” she commented.

“Martha for fashion nova is a cultural reset, I just know,” added one fan, while another said: “There’s nothing like comfort and style!!! Party on, Martha!!!”

Others weren’t so sure about the outfit, like one fan who wrote, “Who put this woman in fashion nova. Show yourself IMMEDIATELY,” and another who said, “Martha…fire your stylist xoxo.”

Others were disappointed with the normally high-end entrepreneur promoting fast fashion. “No, even you don’t get a pass for wearing fashionnova,” commented one follower. “This is a grave misstep.”

“Martha in fast fashion hurts me,” added another. “They are destroying our planet!!!”

Her bargain set wasn’t the first sparkly look Stewart wore in recent days; she sported a similar metallic lounge look in an August 4 post, leaving fans wondering if she’d forgotten her pants.

The foodie also rocked gold sequin pants and a matching sequined blazer for photographer Douglas Friedman’s 50th birthday at her restaurant on Saturday, while other diners also raved about the glittery aesthetic.

The fashion fun didn’t stop there; Stewart wore a feather-trimmed Valentino frock to the opening of The Bedford on Friday — and while the designer look is currently on sale for $4,493, it’s certainly a far cry from the bargains she wore before.

Stewart was joined by Snoop Dogg in a toast at her restaurant. “Partner in wine,” he wrote on Instagram, referring to their partnership with wine brand 19 Crimes.

While the internet may be divided on Martha’s Fashion Nova vibes, we can all raise a glass to her Vegas success.
