Lizzo Claps Back To Body Shamer Aries Spears At VMAs 2022

Lizzo expertly quoted Nicki Minaj in an epic clapback moment aimed at comedian Aries Spears at the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards.

While accepting the Moon Person for Video for Good (for her hit “About Damn Time”) on Sunday, the versatile musician, 34, thanked her fans, then said into the microphone: “And now, to the bitches who have something too say about me in the press…”

While Minaj’s almost identical opener at the 2015 VMAs focused on then-host Miley Cyrus — and followed by the now-famous line, “Miley, what’s good?” – Lizzo took a different approach.

“You know what? I’m not going to say anything,” she told the crowd at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ. “They say, ‘Lizzo, why don’t you clap back? Why don’t you clap back?’

‘Cause, bitch, I’m winning, ho! Big bitch is winning, ho!” she shouted, provoking roaring praise from those present.

While she didn’t name names, Lizzo definitely sent a message to Ram Spears, who recently put her to shame.

“I can’t help but look like the s–t emoji,” the comedian said in an interview with “The Art of Dialogue,” a platform that claims to “elevate hip-hop culture.”

“She has a very pretty face, but she keeps showing off her body,” he continued. “Like, come on, man. Come on, dude.”

He continued: ‘I’m sorry. Listen, I’m not the most in shape after in the world, but I still – if you’re funny and you’ve got swagger and confidence and you look decent… I think I’m pretty at the very least – you get py . But a woman built like a plate of mashed potatoes is in trouble.”

Spears then chose to condemn women who support Lizzo and are inspired by her confidence.

“You know what kills me about women is the hypocrisy and the contradiction,” he said, visibly sweating.

“F-k diabetes, f-k heart problems, f-k heart disease, cholesterol. You claim femininity and about sisterhood and support for your sister, you know, when it comes to that ridiculous s–t. But if you really gave up, why not go, ‘Black girl, we love your confidence, boo-boo, but this ain’t it. This isn’t it.’”

Spears went on to claim, “That’s the real love! You guys jump on me because I’m joking, but you won’t be real and say, ‘Sister, put down the eclair. This isn’t it. It’s treadmill time.'”
