Linda Evangelista is back and better than ever.
The supermodel stunned fans with a glamorous photo of her return to modeling on Saturday.
Evangelista, 57, stars in a Fendi campaign, marking her first appearance since undergoing a botched CoolSculpting procedure.
Posing in multiple hats and purses, the OG supermodel is promoting a Fendi fashion show that will celebrate the 25th anniversary of the brand’s iconic baguette-style bag in September, adding that she’s “so grateful” to everyone involved.
Fellow supermodels Carla Bruni and Karen Elson said “You look so good darling” and “Oh my god YES LINDA!” respectively, while Amber Valletta called her “beautiful” and Christy Turlington left a string of heart emojis.
Plenty of others also showed their support in the comment section, including Marc Jacobs, January Jones, Debi Mazar and more.
In September 2021, Evangelista revealed her CoolSculpting catastrophe. And while she’s shared photos since then, this is her return to the world of modeling.
“To my followers who have been wondering why I didn’t work while my colleagues’ careers were thriving, the reason I was brutally disfigured by Zeltiq’s CoolSculpting procedure, which did the opposite of what it promised,” wrote they.
The cosmetic procedure forced her “into a cycle of deep depression, deep sadness and the lowest depths of self-loathing”, making her “a recluse”.
The model filed a lawsuit the same month against CoolSculpting’s parent company, Zeltiq Aesthetics Inc. She claimed the treatment “increased, not decreased” her fat cells and left her “permanently disfigured” despite “painful, unsuccessful, corrective surgery.”
Famous friends including designer Isaac Mizrahi, fellow super Christy Turlington and Paulina Porizkova applauded her for speaking out.
