Laura Linney has already fleshed out her Emmy look by Christian Siriano.
“Laura Linney just got nominated for an Emmy and asked me to make her Emmy dress, so that’s exciting,” Siriano told Vidak For Congress.
Linney received a Best Actress nomination this week for her role as Wendy Byrde in the Netflix drama “Ozark.”
She celebrated by attending the opening of Siriano’s new department store The Collective West. Linney was one of Siriano’s VIP guests, which included celebrities like Katie Holmes, Debra Messing and his principal muse and bestie Coco Rocha, all of whom came to Westport, Conn., for the Tuesday night cocktail party.
Siriano described Linney as one of his many muses, telling us, “We’ll hold her to that,” when it comes to designing the dress for her big night.
However, his latest project goes beyond red carpet fashion.
In his new store you’ll find home furnishings by Swoon Westport, jewelry by Josh Levkoff and his friend Kyle Smith’s mens and unisex line, Future Lovers of Tomorrow. Siriano, who bought a home in Westport before the pandemic started, said he chose to open the store in his “adopted hometown” because transplants in New York needed a place to shop.
“I love New York and I love my world in New York… this was something so special to this world here to bring a little bit of New York glamor,” he said.
Siriano added that New York glamor was “just necessary” for “so many people who have moved here from the city during the pandemic and are hungry for a cool place to shop and go.”
The Emmys will be broadcast on September 12.
