Kourtney Kardashian felt “pushed to do IVF” with her husband, Travis Barker.
The “Kardashians” star explained on Dear Media’s podcast “Not Skinny But Not Fat” on Tuesday that her age played a factor in the pressure she and the Blink-182 member felt.
“If you even look up anything online about things you can do to get pregnant… it says, like, ‘If you’re over 40’ — or it might even say something younger — it says, ‘Go right away,’ the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” alum, 43, said.
“So I felt a little pushed.”
Poosh’s creator noted that she and the rocker, 46, are “finished with IVF now” and hope “God bless [them] with a baby.”
The former E! personality, who married Barker in May, is already a mother of three with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick.
The former couple welcomed son Mason, now 12, in 2009, followed by daughter Penelope, 10, and son Reign, 7, in 2012 and 2014 respectively.
As for Barker, the drummer shares son Landon, 18, and daughter Alabama, 16, with his ex-wife, Shanna Moakler. He also maintains a close relationship with his 23-year-old former stepdaughter, Atiana.
Since Barker and Kardashian started dating in 2021, they’ve put in “hard” work to get their families to reunite — made “easier” by their longstanding friendship.
“There are so many emotions in so many children,” the reality star told presenter Amanda Hirsch.
“I think we’re in a really good place,” Kardashian continued. “I think we’re going to be very patient and take it easy…with the kids and just keep everyone in their comfortable place.”
She and Barker have been voicing their plans to have a child of their own since March, and their journey has been documented on Kardashian’s famous family’s Hulu show.
“Travis and I want a baby,” she said in a May episode, later revealing that she had been instructed by her fertility specialist to take her partner’s sperm.
“I love this doctor,” the Grammy nominee joked at the time.
Last month, Kardashian slammed the rumors she was expecting after posting a lingerie selfie on her bare stomach.
“You’re missing a woman’s body,” Lemme’s creator clapped back to an Instagram troll asking if they’d missed a pregnancy announcement.
The comment came a month after Kardashian clarified to a social media user that she is a “woman with a BODY,” not a baby bump.
