Kim Zolciak Responds to Ariana’s Arrest, Speaks About Marijuana Consumption

Kim Zolciak denied that her daughter Ariana Biermann was driving drunk – but did claim she had consumed marijuana – three days after the 20-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI.

The 44-year-old “Don’t Be Tardy” noted in an Instagram story on Tuesday that Ariana admitted she “consumed marijuana” the day before.

“[That was] more than 24 hours prior to her contact with law enforcement,” Zolciak wrote, calling her child “cooperative and honest.”

She further wrote: “The arresting officer, as his own police report shows, accused Ariana of being restricted by alcohol.

“She completely denies these allegations and plans to challenge these charges because she is not guilty of them,” concluded the “Real Housewives of Atlanta” alum.

In another slide, Zolciak described her daughter’s “little fender bender,” echoing Biermann’s attorney Justin Spizman’s Sunday statement via People.

“When the police arrived on the scene, the investigating officer immediately launched an investigation into drink-driving,” the former Bravo personality wrote. “Despite Ariana’s constant admonition that she was upset and anxious about the minor accident, the office erroneously concluded that she had a disability. That was not the case.”

Zolciak doubled down on her claims that Ariana was not under the influence of “alcohol or marijuana” at the time of the accident.

News of the accident came out on Sunday, a day after the student was arrested on charges of drink driving, improper/irregular lane change and underage possession/purchase of alcohol. She was released on a $5,120 bond.

Ariana was with her boyfriend Hudson McLeroy at the time of the accident.

Her 20-year-old partner was also arrested for an alleged DUI, as well as allegedly providing alcohol to a minor and violating the terms of his restricted driver’s license.

The couple have dated occasionally since their high school romance began.
