Kim Kardashian doesn’t keep up with Italian food.
While dining out during Milan Fashion Week on Thursday’s episode of “The Kardashians,” the reality star asked a waiter, “What is tortellini?”
When the restaurant worker explained that the dish is “like a ravioli”, Kardashian further asked for “every[thing] that’s not spaghetti.
“Perhaps a penne or something else?”
After the 41-year-old “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” was given “of course” penne, she explained in a confessional that she has chosen to be a “flexitarian.”
That means the creator of Skims is “sometimes vegan and other times just not,” Kardashian said. “So, YOLO.”
Fans of the Hulu show took to Twitter to share their shock about Kardashian not knowing what a tortellini is.
“Did Kim really just ask what tortellini is? IN ITALY!?” one Twitter user wrote, while another added: “Look at Kim K asking which tortellini is actually painful.”
A third viewer wrote that Kardashian’s question “blew” [their] spirit’, and a fourth criticized her ‘disrespect’ abroad.
“Wealth is wasted on the rich,” wrote another social media user.
Kardashian was on a trip to Italy with Kendall Jenner at the time, and the older sibling proudly watched from the sidelines as the 26-year-old model walked for Prada earlier this year.
Later in the episode, Kardashian shopped for then-boyfriend Pete Davidson, gushing that the comedian has the “best heart.”
“I feel like people, they have an idea of him going out with all these hot girls – and he does. But he’s just the sweetest, most considerate person,” she said of 28-year-old’s “Saturday Night Live” alum.
The former couple began dating in October 2021, but broke up nine months later.
While Kardashian clarified on an episode of “Live With Kelly and Ryan” last month that she doesn’t want to date “definitely anyone”, she previously told James Corden that she had her sights set on a “scientist, neuroscientist, biochemist, doctor [or] lawyer” in the future.
“Obviously it’s not working no matter what I’m doing,” the former E! personality joked on the “Late Late Show With James Corden” in September.
“I feel like I… have to go to different places,” she continued, pointing out that she should visit a “hospital” or “lawyer’s office.”
