The Emmys gave fans a good dose of 90s nostalgia Monday night with a “Kenan & Kel” reunion.
During the show, host Kenan Thompson performed a bartender sketch with Kumail Nanjiani, who was the “honorary” bartender for the night, before pointing him to a man waiting for a drink at the bar.
As Thompson approached slumped Kel Mitchell, whose identity was still unknown, the “Good Burger” actor jumped up to surprise his former “All That” co-star.
“You know what… can I get a good burger?” Mitchell joked as the “SNL” alum yelled before hugging his former partner and saying, “let’s make it two good burgers.”
In typical Kenan and Kel fashion, the overjoyed couple did some kung fu as the show moved on to the next prize.
Fans of the former on-screen duo were thrilled to see the pair back in action, nearly two decades since their last project together.
“Reconciling Kenan and Kel makes my inner child so happy. #Emmys2022,” a Twitter user wrotewhile another added that the moment made them “smile.”
“Omg Kenan and Kel! Can I get a good burger?! This made my little 90s childhood heart so happy!,” another person tweeted next to a gif of Kermit the frog lose his mind.

“It really warms my millennial heart to know that Kenan and Kel remain friends all these years later,” commented one avid fan of the Nickelodeon series.
Another user was disappointed that Mitchell didn’t ask for an orange juice — a seemingly obvious drink choice for 90s kids who remember their famous sketch about Kel who loves orange juice.
“I am still irritated. They asked him to order a drink and this guy said good burger… THE ORANGE SODA PLAH WAS THERE ????” they commented back to a clip of the viral moment.
Mitchell and Thompson appeared on all three popular projects from the 1990s through the early 1990s.
