Kellan Lutz’s wife, Brittany Gonzales, gave birth to their second child, a boy named Kasen, on Aug. 10.
“We are in love and enjoy all the baby hugs,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram statement on Monday.
“Ashtyn loves her little brother, Koda is the sweetest, sweetest big sister ever, and mommy and baby are doing well,” she added. “This big boy is eating around the clock and getting ready to be built like Hercules, just like his father.”
The duo announced in February that their 1-year-old daughter, Ashtyn, had a younger sibling on the way.
“Two under 2 in 2022 ,” Lutz, 37, captioned an Instagram video of Gonzales, 34, sending him a calendar invite to her due date.
“God is good!” the “Twilight” star continued at the time. “Babies are the best! I love you forever and always @brittanylynnlutz.”
Gonzales posted the footage to her own account, writing, “Some may say we’re crazy, we say we’re crazy BLESSED.”
Two weeks later, the couple got a piñata to find out the sex of their second bundle of joy. It was filled with both pink and blue confetti, but counting the pieces showed that blue dominated.
“Kellan really had me on a roller coaster with this one,” the then-pregnant model joked.
Gonzales and Lutz later celebrated their daughter’s first birthday in February and heralded her milestone with a sunflower-themed party.
Ashtyn was the duo’s rainbow baby, as they previously had a pregnancy loss at six months.
“The day she was born it was snowing, raining and freezing, but that night she was born and we woke up to the sun, clear skies and winter melting away,” the new mom told her Instagram followers last year. . “It was so symbolic [February 2020] was literally winter to our souls to be greeted with the brightest sunshine a year later.”
While carrying Ashtyn was a “dream” pregnancy, Gonzales struggled before welcoming her son.
“This pregnancy has been a lot harder on my body physically,” she explained in a May baby bump update. “It teaches me to slow down and prepare for what’s to come.”
Gonzales noted that she and the “FBI: Most Wanted” alum may not want more children, adding, “I try to enjoy every moment.”
