Kate Gosselin’s lawyer claims Jon owes child support

Jon Gosselin is the one with money problems, not Kate Gosselin, according to her lawyer.

Richard J. Puelo said on Monday that Kate’s “integrity is impeccable” after her ex-husband claimed she stole money from their children.

“I can’t say the same for Jon Gosselin,” the attorney told Us Weekly, claiming the DJ, 45, owes 47-year-old Kate, “$132,875 in child support, excluding interest, from the day it was introduced.” .”

Jon did not respond to the magazine’s request for comment.

Puelo’s side of the story comes four days after The US Sun obtained legal documents in which Kate admitted to making two separate $50,000 withdrawals from two of her children’s trusts “to survive.”

Jon responded to the bombshell report by telling the outlet that the alleged actions of the “Kate Plus Date” alum were “disgusting” and “morally wrong.”

Jon said: “Parents are not allowed to withdraw money from these accounts without permission and without preparing paperwork that they will pay it back – but she has presented no paperwork and no payments have been made.

“You can’t live on your children’s money alone,” he continued. “She’s been on TV telling the world she saved her kids’ money when she actually stole from them — she’s a hypocrite.”

Kate claimed in the 2019 filing that she took money from Hannah and Collin’s accounts to “cover her and the children’s expenses”.

“I borrowed $100,000 from the Children’s Fund. And it technically owes me $387,000,” she said, referring to the private school fees she allegedly paid out of her own pocket for her children.

“I don’t intend to collect that,” she clarified.

Hannah and Collin have not lived with Kate and their siblings — twins Cara and Madelyn, 21, and fellow sextuplets Joel, Aaden, Alexis and Leah, 18 — since moving in with Jon in 2018.

The former “Jon & Kate Plus 8” stars began fighting for custody of their children after their split in 2009, and their lawsuit ended in May as the little ones came of age.

“It’s over. We’re done today. It’s over,” Jon told Entertainment Tonight at the time. “This burden has been lifted off my shoulder. It’s just a huge relief.”

He called himself “free” and added: “It’s time for me to move on.”
