Justin Bieber shares update after revealing face is paralyzed

Justin Bieber said he’s “got better” since his diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome — and he’s leaning on his faith to navigate the “horrific storm.”

“I wanted to tell you a little bit about how I feel,” the 28-year-old pop star wrote in an Instagram post on Monday, three days after revealing he had a partially paralyzed face.

“Every day has gotten better,” he explained, “and for all the discomfort I have found comfort in the one who designed me and who knows me. I am reminded that he all knows me. He knows the darkest parts of me that I don’t want anyone to know and he constantly welcomes me into his loving arms.”

Bieber said his faithful “perspective” on the situation has given him “peace amid this horrific storm that … [he’s] confronted.”

“I know this storm will pass, but in the meantime, JESUS IS WITH ME,” he told himself.

The “Peaches” singer captioned the caption: “At this point in my life I realize storms come and go. Jesus keeps reminding me that he is with me in the midst of the storm.

“It’s not about the storm. It’s that we are NEVER ALONE AND HE UNDERSTANDS. †

Bieber announced his diagnosis with the rare condition on Instagram on Friday, sending shockwaves across the music industry and beyond.

Ramsay Hunt syndrome is characterized by a painful rash around the ear, on the face or on the mouth, according to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. It manifests when the varicella-zoster virus infects a nerve in the head and it can sometimes cause paralysis.

“As you can see, this eye doesn’t blink. I can’t smile on this side of my face. This nostril won’t move,” the Grammy winner explained in a video shot straight to the camera, gesturing to the motionless right side of his face.

“I’m going to get better and I’m doing all these facial exercises to get my face back to normal, and it’s going to get back to normal,” he assured his fans. “It’s just time, and we don’t know how much time it will be, but it’s going to be okay. I have hope, and I trust in God, and I trust that all this is for a reason.”

A friend of Bieber exclusively told Vidak For Congress last week that his loved ones are also anticipating a successful recovery.

“Bieber will be fine,” our insider told us. “It’s because of an infection, paralysis on the right side. He will recover.”

The entertainer has since had to put work commitments on hold.

“Due to Justin’s ongoing medical condition, this week’s Justice Tour shows at Madison Square Garden in New York City will be postponed,” a post shared on the venue’s Instagram page read Sunday.

“Justin is receiving the best medical care possible and is determined to resume the tour as soon as he and the doctors feel he is able to continue. Details on the rescheduled MSG shows will be made public shortly.”
