Jonathan Knight is paired!
The New Kids On The Block singer revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he and his longtime friend Harley Rodriguez secretly said, “I do.”
When asked about the ring he was sporting on That finger, he confirmed that they “were” married.
“But everyone just assumed we were married, so I never say yes or no because I don’t want to lie,” he told the outlet.
Knight, 53, admitted he and Rodriguez, 49, tied the knot privately during the COVID-19 pandemic and have yet to celebrate their wedding with friends and family.
“It’s coming,” he promised.
The pair appear to have taken each other’s last names – with their Instagram bios now reading Jonathan Knight-Rodriguez and Harley Knight-Rodriguez.
In 2016, the singer posed the question to the fitness trainer while on vacation.
“We were in Africa, our parents were there – our mothers were there – and I thought now was the time to ask the question and make it official,” Knight told an episode of Sirius’ “The Jenny McCarthy Show.”
“We were on the Zambezi River – it’s right above Victoria Falls,” he continued. “We took an overnight raft dinner, just the four of us on the river, there was like a hippo in the background. It was a super moon. It was just absolutely beautiful, it was so romantic.”
The couple started dating in 2008 and the boy band member confessed that he wasn’t sure who would propose first.
“That’s the funny thing, with two guys it’s always hard,” he said. “As who proposes? Who asks? And I think that was our problem. I waited for him to ask, he probably waited for me to ask.”
In addition to his marriage, the singer is also celebrating the return of his HGTV show, “Farmhouse Fixer.”
In the series, Jonathan and designer Kristina Crestin breathe new life into old houses.
“It’s such a passion of mine, fixing up houses,” he told ET. “I posted pictures of projects I did on Instagram, and fans were always asking me, ‘What’s your other job besides the New Kids?’ and I just love being able to show what I do and people watch.”
“Farmhouse Fixer” airs Wednesdays on HGTV at 9 p.m. ET.
