Johnny Depp has reunited with his lawyer Camille Vasquez in Europe – six weeks after she helped him win his amazing libel case against ex-wife Amber Heard.
The 59-year-old ‘Edward Scissorhands’ star was seen smiling when he met the glamorous lawyer, 38, at his musical performance in Prague on Monday.
Depp is currently touring Europe with guitarist Jeff Beck and seemed excited that Vasquez showed up to support him.
Footage of the couple’s rendezvous was recorded by a fellow concert-goer before it was shared on Instagram and went viral.
The clip shows Vasquez excitedly introducing Depp to her boyfriend, British businessman Edward Owen, 38.
The brunette beauty puts a loving hand on her boyfriend’s back as she smiles and talks to the “Pirates of the Caribbean” star.
Depp seems overjoyed to meet his lawyer’s new husband and gives Owen a handshake before wrapping him in a tight hug.
Fans of Depp and Vasquez — including Joe Rogan — had hoped the actor and lawyer would start dating, given the flirty display they put on during the defamation trial.
But while these new images will crush those hopes, it confirms that the couple are still very fond of each other.
The video was shared on Instagram accounts dedicated to Depp, and many commentators weighed in on his affection for Vasquez.
“I was hoping that Camille and Johnny would end up together. Ah, that’s the hopeless romantic in me…” wrote one fan on an account.
“I’m sure they will have a friendship that will last a lifetime,” another objected.
A third agreed and said simply, “This makes me smile.”
Vasquez — who was promoted to partner at law firm Brown Rudnick after her murderous cross-examination of Heard during the defamation trial — currently appears to be taking a break from work while spending time with Owen in Europe.
While Vasquez is based in LA, Owen is currently based in London and serves as the head of real estate for Europe, the Middle East and Asia for the co-working space company WeWork.
The couple reportedly met in the UK last November and hopes to make their long-distance relationship work.
Meanwhile, Vasquez will not be returning to represent Depp anytime soon as a judge rejected Heard’s request for a retrial earlier this week.
The 36-year-old Aquaman actress pleaded for a new trial after claiming Juror 15 in the case was not the person called up for jury duty. She claimed her right to a fair trial was being violated.
But Fairfax Circuit Court Judge Penney Azcarate rejected that claim, writing in her ruling that “the juror was vetted, sat before the entire jury, deliberated and reached a verdict.”
“The only evidence before this court is that the juror and all of the jurors followed their oaths, instructions and orders of the court,” Azcarate continued. “This court is bound by the competent decision of the jury.”
Depp sued Heard for $50 million over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed the actress wrote in which she said she was a victim of sexual assault.
A jury awarded him $10.35 million in damages. They awarded Heard $2 million in a counterclaim she filed.
