Meta Sheryl Sandberg’s outgoing COO married businessman Tom Bernthal at the Four Seasons Resort in Jackson Hole, Wyo., sources tell Vidak For Congress exclusively.
Local insiders told us the couple had the entire hotel booked for the nuptials — and guests included the groom’s famous brother, “The Walking Dead” star Jon Bernthal, as well as tech titans and Washington DC power players.
“They bought out the entire hotel for the wedding and it was on super lockdown,” a source said.
The source added that there was also a contingent of techs and Washington, DC, seniors on the scene.
We hear that Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken was spotted at the Four Seasons over the weekend chatting with wedding guests.
Locals also said that the night before the wedding, four helicopters flew back and forth to the top of the mountain at the resort – believed to be carrying supplies for the weekend’s operations.
A source said there was also a welcome party for the couple’s guests the day before the wedding.
Spies also told Vidak For Congress that Jon Bernthal and others from the wedding were playing football outside the resort on the day of the ceremony.
“Jon was there playing football in a big cowboy hat!” said a bewildered local. The actor also starred in ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, ‘King Richard’ and ‘The Punisher’.
Sources said that due to the guest list, “secret service agents” were at the hotel, and guests were tight-lipped about all the details of the weekend.
However, it is unclear whether Sandberg’s former colleague, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, was at the wedding.
The Facebook billionaire bride, 52, posted photos of the newlyweds on Instagram with just the caption “MARRIED,” plus some heart emojis, and no further details.
The groom, 50, who founded consulting firm Kelton Global, shared the same photo with a heartfelt message.
“After we both suffered a loss, @sherylsandberg and I weren’t sure we would ever find love again,” he wrote. “Over the past three years, we have merged our lives and merged our families. Our wedding today was a dream come true.”
Bernthal’s father was a lawyer at the top law firm of Latham & Watkins.
People reported that the wedding had a western theme.
Sandberg’s two children with her late husband Dave Goldberg and Bernthal’s three children were reportedly members of the bridal party. “It’s our wedding when we’re seven,” Bernthal told People. “We keep saying, ‘We’re all going to get married,'” Sandberg added, according to the report.
Sandberg recently announced that she would be stepping down from Meta this fall to focus on “foundational and philanthropic work,” but she will remain on the board.
However, her summer wedding caused some controversy before announcing her departure from the company: At the time of her resignation, it was reported that she was the subject of an internal Meta investigation into using company resources to plan the event.
Sandberg has a net worth of $1.5 billion, according to Forbes.
Representatives for Meta, Kelton and Jon Bernthal did not immediately comment.
