Hillary Clinton has said she will never run for president again, but it seems she just can’t leave the daytime TV circuit.
The 2016 presidential candidate appeared alongside daughter Chelsea for an interview on “The View” Wednesday to promote their new AppleTV+ show “Gusty” — and the audience was less than impressed.
During the on-air love-in, Clinton, 74, was asked about the recent raid on Donald Trump’s property in Mar-a-Lago, with the former first lady saying it was “terrifying” to learn that the ex- president was in possession of documents about the nuclear capabilities of a foreign country.
“I think this should be taken seriously, and it’s no laughing matter,” she told The View co-hosts, before refusing to reveal whether she believes Trump will be charged.
Clinton urged right-wing voters to reject her 2016 presidential competitor, saying they should “restore the Republican Party to where it was, not Trump’s party, which I think is very dangerous for the country.” .”
Meanwhile, Chelsea also chimed in, claiming that Trump has “hate” in America.
Some armchair critics have been puzzled by the fixation on the former president, stating: a snipe: “Is it ‘Hot Topics’ or ‘Trump Topics’?.”
“Every time they say ‘Trump’ a shot is fired.” another joked.
Others lashed out at the co-hosts of “The View” for refusing to bring up Clinton’s decision to use a private email server when she was Secretary of State.
“This woman is the LAST PERSON who should be talking about classified documents,” one said.
“At no point during this entire segment have the hypocrites of ‘The View’, including so-called Republican Alyssa Farah, confronted Hillary Clinton about her lying about the classified documents on her illegal secret server and the destruction of her hard drive and phones, ” another viewer complained.
Meanwhile, co-hosts cooed over Clinton’s new Apple+ series, “Gusty,” in which she and Chelsea interview famous women, including Kim Kardashian.
The hosts described the show as “so good” and “incredible”.
However, a viewer of “The View” hit back, claiming that she could not pay a subscription to Apple to watch the show while another raged: “Hillary just tries to stay ‘relevant’ and drags her adult baby around with silver spoons for media attention so they can make her run to the office like Mom did. Sick of seeing these people! Fun fact 1996 was the last time she actually drove her own car. So not touched.”
But others praised the duo’s performance on the show, saying they were excited to tune in to “Gusty.”
“How proud the Clintons should be for raising Chelsea! Can’t wait to see ‘Gutsy’!” a satisfied viewer swooned.
