Heidi Klum sent her daughter Leni Olumi Klum best wishes as she attended college in New York City on Tuesday.
The “America’s Got Talent” judges posted a photo of herself, wearing white jeweled lingerie and huge feather wings, as she walked the runway at the 2003 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show.
“Today is your big step to go to college,” Klum, 49, began in the caption, adding two crying emojis. “It only seems like yesterday that this photo was taken when I was four months pregnant with you safe and sound in my tummy.
“Sometimes I wish I always had you this close, but I know now is the time for you to spread your wings and fly. Fly, be safe and shine bright my @leniklum ”
Leni, 18, also took to her Instagram story to post a photo of what she appears to be wearing a bright yellow hoodie laying in her new bed cuddling with a teddy bear wearing a Los Angeles Kings hockey shirt.
“My new cuddle buddy,” she captioned the photo.
The supermodel, who hasn’t yet named the exact university Leni will attend, previously talked about Leni fleeing to the Big Apple for the next four years.
“I’m [so proud].You know, she screwed up her head really well,” she told Entertainment Tonight earlier this month. “At the moment, the university is at the top of the list. It’s not modeling and she’s very excited about that next chapter in her life.”
Heidi added that she is “sad” that her daughter will be moving away from her siblings, sons Henry, 16, and Johan, 15, and daughter Lou, 12. Fortunately for Leni, she has often been in town while her mother filmed “Project Runway.”
“So, she knows well because I always move my family to New York when we were still filming. So I think she will have a good time, but my heart will be sad,” she continued.
Leni graduated from Pacifica Christian High School in Santa Monica in June. Her “proud” mother posted a video of her walking across the stage and receiving her diploma in a royal blue cap and dress.
Heidi’s ex-husband Seal adopted Leni in 2009 although her biological father is Flavio Briatore.
