Never too old to fall in love.
Prominent hedge funder Larry Leeds — who was chairman of Buckingham Capital Management until 2019 — is marrying philanthropist and socialite Ginger Feuer, a youthful 75, at age 93, on Sunday.
Leeds was married to Dalia Leeds for 60 years and Feuer was married to Myron Feuer for 45 years, but both of their partners have passed away.
We were told that they were four good friends and went on vacation together.
Leeds and Feuer – who have known each other for 40 years – got back together over dinner as widows in Palm Beach, Florida, and had their first date in Sistina on New York’s Upper East Side.
Feuer tells us that Leeds was the perfect gentleman, taking her to her accommodation and kissing her goodnight. “There was a spark,” she says.
They have been together for a year and a half. Leeds proposed last October, saying, “I want to spend the rest of my life with you.” He tells Vidak For Congress that he likes Feuer’s “red hair, vivacious character and sensuality”.
Feuer, meanwhile, says she admires Leeds for its good looks and intelligence.
The couple will tie the knot in the presence of Rabbi Joshua Davidson of Temple Emanu-El at the home of Feuer’s son and daughter-in-law, Matthew Feuer and Liz Toll Feuer, we hear.
Forty guests are expected, including Alan Patricof of Apax Partners, John Rosenwald of JP Morgan, art collectors Robbi and Bruce Toll and Leeds’ daughters Ashley and Tracy.
Freuer has worked with Alzheimer’s Drug Discovery Foundation, American Cancer Society, and City Meals on Wheels.
Leeds, the former CEO of Manhattan Industries, which launched the fashion brand Perry Ellis, is also involved in charities and runs a family foundation. He now focuses on the Cary Leeds Center for Tennis and Learning in the Bronx, which he founded in honor of his late son.
The couple is also active in the Palm Beach and NYC social scene.
We wish the newlyweds all the happiness in the world. Mazel tov!
