Robert Cormier, who played Finn Cotter on the show “Heartland”, passed away on Friday. He was just 33 years old.
The actor’s cause of death has yet to be determined.
In his obituary, Cormier is remembered as “an athlete, an actor, and a great brother,” who “had a passion for helping others and always looking for more.”
“He enjoyed movie nights with his family and looked up to his father immensely. He influenced many people throughout his life, be it family, teammates and friends,” the obituary reads.
“Rob’s memory will live on through his passion for art and film; as well as his three sisters who meant the world to him.”
He is survived by his parents Robert and Lisa, and his sisters, Brittany, Krystal and Stephanie.
After the tragic news of his death, the official Instagram page for “Heartland” remembered him as a “beloved member”.
“We are deeply saddened to learn of Robert Cormier’s passing. He has been a beloved member of the Heartland cast for the past two seasons. On behalf of the Heartland cast and crew, our thoughts are with him and his family, who have asked for privacy during this difficult time,” the statement said.
The show’s network, uPtv, also paid tribute to Cormier with an Instagram photo of his character.
“Robert Cormier, aka Heartland’s Fin, was a great talent, gone too soon. It is with great sadness that we learn of his passing. Our sincere condolences go out to his friends, family and colleagues. 🕊️’, they wrote with the photo.
In his latest Instagram post, the actor gushed about his participation in “Heartland” and shared an Instagram photo of his scripts.
“Gettin at it😏🐴🍁 #Heartland #finncotter,” he captioned the photo.
In addition to “Heartland,” Cormier appeared in “Slasher,” “Designated Survivor,” “American Gods,” and “Ransom.”
