Don’t be fooled by social media: Harry Jowsey’s “perfect” relationship with fellow “Too Hot To Handle” alum Georgia Hassarati isn’t “sunshine and rainbows all the time.”
In an exclusive interview with Vidak For Congress, Jowsey, 25, admitted the Australians’ love was actually “very hard”.
“She probably wouldn’t want me to say that,” he commented, “but it’s been very difficult.”
Jowsey, who moved from Queensland to Los Angeles after his groundbreaking role on Netflix’s first season of “THTH,” told us that he and the 26-year-old brunette beauty, who hails from Brisbane and rose to fame in Season 3, “are officially” for four months.
While the genetically blessed couple lived together on Jowsey’s LA pad for three-quarters of that time, Hassarati returned to their homeland about a month before our interview with her blue-eyed boyfriend.
Jowsey said the distance was a big issue for the couple as they share the same two love languages: quality time and physical touch.
“We take that road, and we have all this distance as if between us,” he said. “There are so many factors. I know my audience – they want to hear that it’s been sunshine and rainbows the whole time, but it hasn’t. It’s so hard to have something that’s far away.”
“Thank God I’m leaving tomorrow to go see her, but the distance… it was very hard on our relationship because we don’t communicate on the same frequency as it makes sense. For example, she needs a few days to cool down, and I have to get through whatever the problem is right away so it’s no longer serious,” he added.
“So we had to overcome a lot of obstacles.”
At the time of our conversation, the duo’s most recent “obstacle” had occurred several hours earlier.
“As of this morning, she wasn’t very happy with me because I posted a stupid TikTok that I wasn’t thinking about, but we spoke on the phone and we laughed about it, so everything is fine!” said Jowsey with a seemingly nervous smile, prompting us to inquire about the TikTok in question.
“It was like 5 a.m. and I posted this crazy TikTok where I had screenshots of my DMs with Hailee Steinfeld exposing myself just a year ago. I was very cringey,” the reality star explained. to look back and to laugh.”
The video showed Jowsey reminiscing about his past Instagram exchanges with the singer-actress, 25, including his flirty hello meeting her quick “nahhhhhh”.
Not a fan of the unprecedented Steinfeld-stan hatred that followed, the noted “class clown” said he quickly put in “a bunch of dams to bury.” [that video] down [his] page a little bit.”
And in doing so, he placed a concept with the girl who… [he] had seen before.”
“[Hassarati] didn’t appreciate it,” admitted Jowsey, without revealing which ex was featured in the since-deleted video. “And I thought, ‘You know what, looking back, I wouldn’t appreciate it if you did, so my apologies.'”
“I know everyone wants it to be this Instagram-perfect Hollywood couple,” he added. “I’m like, ‘No, no – we’re trying to figure it out. You have no idea. We’re worse than you!’”
In addition to modeling, creating light-hearted social media content, and helping a local homeless man with cancer, Jowsey hopes to add a rom-com star to his eclectic resume.
He signed with the WME talent agency in June, telling Vidak For Congress that his dream is to become the next Ashton Kutcher (he would love to revive “Punk’D”) or Kevin Hart.
When asked who he would want his love interest to appear on the big or small screen, he had his answer ready: “Outer Banks” star Madelyn Cline.
“I feel like Madelyn Cline, because she’s just incredible,” Jowsey said with that endearingly nervous giggle of his. “I think she’s pretty awesome.”
He added that the fellow Netflix personality, 24, “looks so cute.”
