Frankie Grande credits his former throuple relationship for laying the groundwork for his current marriage.
“It primed me to be like, ‘You know what? Actually, I might just be a sole proprietor,'” the ‘Big Brother’ alum, who is now married to Hale Leon, told Vidak For Congress exclusively on opening night of ‘ Into the Woods’ on Broadway.
“I’m very grateful for that previous relationship and I think it prepared me for this one, the ultimate one in which I got my ring.”
In 2018, Grande, 39, proudly announced that he was the “new addition” to married couple Daniel Sinasohn and Mike Pophis’ relationship. The unusual arrangement was off the air after just four months, but it taught Grande what he really wanted deep down.
“I think everything happens for a reason,” the actor, who is the older brother of pop star Ariana Grande, told us. “Now I’m an old married man in a monogamous relationship.”
After breaking up with Sinasohn and Pophis, Frankie married Leon on May 4, 2022, in a “Star Wars” themed wedding. He told Vidak For Congress that he doesn’t believe monogamy is so hard now.
“I think I’ve always been wired for that,” he explained. “I think it really suits me and I’m very happy.”
Marriage aside, Frankie has also been involved in appearing in the campy musical “Titaníque,” lovingly faking the 1997 movie “Titanic” and singer Celíne Dion.
“I am a huge fan of Celíne Dion. I love her from the bottom of my heart,” he said enthusiastically. “The whole show is a love letter to her. It’s just really good and I’m very, very happy and proud to be a part of it and I hope everyone comes to see it!”
Other bold names on the red carpet for the New York City premiere of ‘Into the Woods’ included ‘Stranger Things’ star Gaten Matarazzo, Raúl Esparza and Katrina Lenk, along with stars of the show Sara Bareilles and Gavin Creel. .
Also in attendance was theater impresario Jordan Roth who looked fantastic in an Olivier Theyskens dress – and somehow managed to take the production from City Center to Broadway within weeks.
