Drew Barrymore is not at all surprised that her ex-boyfriend Justin Long managed to get ‘all the ladies’.
“We dated for years. I was very much in love with Justin. You know why? Because he’s funny,” the actress said on Thursday in the “A Little Bit Extra” segment of her talk show.
‘Do you want to know why he gets all the ladies? Well, there are a few reasons, but the comedy is sure [one of them],” she explained. “He’s one of the sharpest, wittiest [people]. He’s brilliant, and he’ll just blow your socks off with laughter.”
The 47-year-old ‘Never Been Kissed’ star and Long met while filming ‘He’s Just Not That Into You’ in 2007, and they dated occasionally until 2010. They also co-starred in ‘Going the Distance’.
Despite their breakup, the former couple have remained close friends and were spotted at the Lowell hotel on the Upper East Side in 2018.
Vidak For Congress broke the news in December that Long, 44, was dating Kate Bosworth. Though the couple had been hiding their romance for a while — Bosworth went through a divorce with estranged husband Michael Polish — the “Accepted” star and “Blue Crush” actress have since gone public by posting PDA-packed photos.
The pair have only gotten more serious, with Long going so far as to describe Bosworth as “the one.”
“I had come to a place where…I felt comfortable. I was ready — I didn’t know it then — but I was ready,” he told “Bachelor” alum Nick Viall on the “Viall Files” podcast in April.
“And the one I had met … I had found.”
