Chloe Fineman looks like a snack – and delivers them too.
The star of “Saturday Night Live” walked the red carpet of the 2022 MTV Video Music Awards in a quirky silver dress, handing out treats to other attendees.
Fineman, 34, teamed up with Instacart, wearing a tailored quilted look created by threeASFOUR, a team of New York-based artists who use fashion as their primary medium.
Her sleeveless dress with a high-low hem was trimmed with orange gumballs, while her silver carrot manicure was also a nod to Instacart’s branding.
The ‘High Fidelity’ star’s avant-garde outfit included jelly bean-shaped bags full of chips, candies and dried fruit, which she handed out as she walked the black carpet of the VMA.
According to an Instacart press release, the dress “uses holographic vinyl, holographic PU, silver nylon, metallic organza, organza, duchess satin and polyfil to playfully imitate a cart and popular snack packaging.”
Fineman wore silver strappy heels and a glittering silver purse, her hair in an updo with loose strands framing her face.
“We’re going to the VMAs tonight to deliver something special,” the comedian said in a video posted to her Instagram Story, brandishing her shiny silver manicure with a carrot charm dangling from it. ‘Is it in this nail? I don’t know. Stay tuned.”
She showed off a preview of her funky dress and a video promoting her Instacart partnership.
“I’ve made a lot of impressions over the years,” she explained. “But now it’s time to make one that impresses. This time I’m going to be… the snack.”
