Filming a sex scene is tricky in itself, but it gets even harder when you have to keep the chatter to a minimum when the cameras aren’t rolling.
Actress Casey Wilson faced such a problem as she made it her mission not to investigate Sam Asghari for his romance with none other than Britney Spears.
The “Happy Endings” star, which appeared on SiriusXM’s “The Jess Cagle Show” Monday, described the difficulty of working with the singer’s beau, who is now her husband, at the height of the “Free Britney” movement. .
An actor in his own right, Asghari appeared in three episodes of Showtime’s hit series “Black Monday” alongside Wilson.
“We really love Britney and were desperate to set her free,” Wilson told hosts Jess Cagle and Julia Cunningham. “We just wanted to be clearly appropriate and not ask the thousands of questions we had.”
To avoid asking questions she would later regret, Wilson said she took a somewhat unconventional approach.
“We were like, ‘Let’s pretend we’re aliens that just came to Earth. We don’t even know what music is,'” she said. “Like, we’re out of that world. We are thespians.’”
Wilson filmed a raunchy sex scene with Asghari for the Season 3 premiere.
“Sometimes God puts you in a time and a place,” Wilson added. “You are the chosen one. Someone has to simulate sex with this man in the midst of what is happening with Free Britney. And it was me.”
The #FreeBritney movement was launched in early 2019 after online speculation that Britney was being held against her will in a mental health facility – which she later confirmed in explosive court testimony in June last year.
The pop icon was famously released from her conservatory on November 12 after being under the control of her father, Jamie Spears for 13 years.
