Candace Cameron Bure was overcome with emotion over the “state of the world” in another tearful Instagram Story video on Thursday.
“Do you ever scroll through Instagram and just get sad about the state of the world?” the 46-year-old “Full House” asked her 5.5 million followers, adding, “That’s me now.”
As she spoke, Cameron Bure held her hands to her face, grabbed the back of her head, covered her eyes, and took a deep breath before letting out a soft scream.
The actress shared that she launched a gratitude challenge to encourage her fans to fill in what they were grateful for.
“I’m going to think about the things I’m thankful for, and I’m thankful to God, Lord Jesus Christ, who has everything under control,” she continued.
“I am thankful that He has given us and me all the power to be justified and sanctified before Him throughout the process of my life and that He redeems it all at the end.”
Cameron Bure’s emotional Instagram video comes two weeks after she burst into tears over the May 24 shooting at the elementary school in Uvalde, Texas.
“With the tragedy and the loss of those 21 people, it’s so hard, and as a mother, I’m grieving and I just want to grieve with the people of Uvalde and the families,” she said as she wiped the tears on May 26 after receiving backlash for not speaking out sooner.
The self-proclaimed “Queen of Christmas” has often opened up over the years about the importance of her Christian faith and uses her various platforms to discuss her religious views.
“He saved me, he saved me, he set me free, and knowing those truths led me to real repentance and change,” she wrote on her website. “Out of gratitude for what Jesus did for me, I began to live a life of service to Him, and my deepest desire is to hear Him say, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant.’”
Cameron Bure has also joked on her TikTok account about being a rare “conservative in Hollywood”.
