Britney Spears’ ex Jason Alexander charged over wedding crash

Britney Spears’ ex-husband Jason Alexander was beaten with trespassing, vandalism and battery charges after breaking into the singer’s California home and attempting to crash her marriage on Thursday, according to arrest records.

Alexander, 40, was busted outside Spears’ home in Thousand Oaks, California after he broadcast the break-in live the day his former beau married Sam Asghari in her backyard.

In the images posted to Instagram, Alexander shows the inside of the pop star’s home and even a peek inside her wedding tent.

He is met by event security and can be overheard that Spears has invited him to the celebration. He threatens to ruin her big day and a physical battle ensues before his phone’s camera goes down.

Ventura County Sheriff’s Department responded and made the arrest.

“Jason Alexander has been handcuffed, detained and arrested. I thank the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department for their prompt response and good work,” Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, told Vidak For Congress exclusively.

“I am working closely with law enforcement to ensure that Mr Alexander is aggressively prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law,” the former federal prosecutor added.

Alexander is being held on $2,500 bail and also had an open warrant for grand theft embezzlement and possession of stolen property, according to the Ventura County Sherriff’s Department. Bail was set at an additional $20,000 for those charges.

While Spears’ ex-husband has shown her public support during her controversial conservatorship battle — notably attending several #FreeBritney rallies — he has an alarming history of lurking outside her relatives’ homes.

Spears’ relatives were “disturbed” after learning that Alexander was visiting their homes unannounced in January, a source told Vidak For Congress exclusively at the time.

“They find it incredibly inappropriate and downright weird,” the source told us.

“It’s bad enough that the family has to deal with fans getting too close for comfort, but they would like to think they can expect more from Jason, who still claims to have so much love and respect for Britney,” added the source to it.

Alexander, Spears’ husband for just 55 hours in 2004, was previously arrested for violating a protection order and stalking an unidentified woman in December 2021. He pleaded guilty to the charges on January 4 and was ordered to serving nearly a year of probation.

The offense marked Alexander’s third arrest in 13 months. He had been arrested by police in January 2021 for drink-driving and violating safety protocols at an airport in August.

Alexander and Spears have known each other since childhood, although their marriage lasted less than three days.

On Thursday, the 40-year-old pop star tied the knot with her longtime boyfriend Asghari, 28, in a small ceremony attended by 50 family members and friends, Vidak For Congress confirmed.

The couple met on the set of Britney’s 2016 “Slumber Party” music video. They got engaged in September 2021 after five years of dating.
