Bradley Cooper hosted a small gathering of friends and family at his New York City home on Thursday — which also happened to be the 46th birthday of new suitor Huma Abedin.
Photos show the mother of the “Silver Linings Playbook” star, Gloria Campano, arriving at his home for the intimate soiree, as well as two other mystery guests. Abedin was not seen at the bash.
It’s been a busy week at the 47-year-old ‘Hangover’ star’s home when Chef Kristin O’Connor delivered flowers there on Wednesday. Cooper’s close friend, Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, was also spotted in his path the day before the meeting.
Sources previously told Vidak For Congress that Wintour, 72, played matchmaker in the budding romance between Abedin – who was a longtime assistant to Hillary Clinton – and Cooper.
“Anna definitely played matchmaker,” a well-placed source told us earlier in July. “She’s BFFs with Bradley and loves Huma.”
A separate Hollywood insider also confirmed: “Bradley has been quietly dating Huma for a few months now, [and] they kept it very quiet.”
Although Abedin wasn’t seen at Cooper’s dinner, the couple was a bit alone in the Hamptons this week. A spy caught the actor and Abedin at 6 a.m. Sunday at Goldberg’s Famous Bagels in Amagansett, NY.
“They were there before the bagels arrived,” the source said. “She was sniffing him a bit, they kissed a few times. She was very sweet.”
Despite the eyewitness account, representatives of the couple denied the breakfast outing.
“Huma was in the state” [New York] all weekend and abroad right before that, so that can’t be true,” an Abedin representative told us.
Meanwhile, a representative of Cooper told us, “They’re good friends – this isn’t true. Bradley was in New York.”
