Brad Pitt reportedly caused $25,000 in damage to a plane during his and Angelina Jolie’s infamous fight in 2016.
The actress, 47, claimed in a recently released FBI report that she was resting with her children on the plane when they told her to “watch” Pitt, 58, who saw Jolie “pour a glass of red wine”.
Although the location of the spilled alcohol has been redacted in documents obtained by Vidak For Congress, Jolie later claimed the wine “went all over the seat” and was not cleaned up “for the rest of the flight.”
The ‘Salt’ star claimed she learned ‘later’ that ‘this caused about $25,000 in damage’.
After pouring, Pitt is said to have “laughed and walked out to get another drink,” the report said.
At another time during the flight from Nice, France, to Los Angeles, the “Fury” star reportedly poured beer over Jolie “and the blanket she slept under.”
In the records, made public on Tuesday, the “Maleficent” star accused her ex-husband of verbal abuse, with Pitt supposedly telling her she was “messing up” [their] family.”
He is also said to have compared Maddox, 21, Pax, 18, Zahara, 17, Shiloh, 16, or twins Knox and Vivienne, 14, to a “Columbine child” who “could kill someone.”
Pitt is also said to have hit the plane’s ceiling multiple times, “pushing” Jolie and running “in the direction” [one of their kids] as if he were going to attack,” the report said.
Jolie, who filed for divorce from the “Fight Club” star days later, claimed she injured her elbow and back while trying to stop him. In the report, she shared photos of her alleged injuries.
The ‘Tomb Raider’ star anonymously sued the FBI in April over the investigation into the incident. Although many suspected at the time that she was the accuser, Jolie’s identity was not confirmed until earlier this week.
Pitt has not yet commented on the latest news about the alleged altercation, but he spoke to GQ in May 2017 about his decision to stop drinking.
“I drank too much. It just became a problem,” the “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood” star, who was declared legally single by Jolie in April 2019, told the magazine at the time.
“I’m really glad it’s been half a year now, which is bittersweet, but I have my feelings back in my fingertips,” he continued, noting that he used to be able to “drink a Russian under the table with his own vodka.”
In the FBI report, Jolie claimed she had seen Pitt “drink a whole bottle of vodka and was still functioning.”
She also claimed that Pitt “got drunk” on their plane ride from hell, but was “still very aware of his surroundings”.
Jolie claimed her “Mr. & Mrs. Smith’ co-star, whom she married in August 2014, was “spoken, not incoherent and he seemed to speak with purpose”.
The FBI has never charged Pitt for the incident. A source close to the actor recently told Vidak For Congress that there was “nothing new” in the unsealed report.
