Barbie Ferreira Leaves ‘Euphoria’ Ahead of Season 3

“Bitch, you better be kidding.”

Barbie Ferreira announced on Wednesday that she will not be returning for Season 3 of “Euphoria” to play the iconic Kat Hernandez.

“After four years of embodying the most special and enigmatic character Kat, I have to say goodbye with tears in my eyes,” said the 25-year-old actress in an emotional Instagram Story post. “I hope many of you can see yourself in her as I did, and that she brought you joy in seeing her journey into the character she is today.”

The actress announced the news on her Instagram Story.

She capped off the announcement by telling fans that she put all of her “care and love” into her character, a high school student trying to stand out.

Along with the news, the model shared a drawing of her character’s alter ego, created by co-star Hunter Schafer, who plays Jules Vaughn on the show.

After announcing her departure, many fans of the hit HBO series took to Ferreira’s latest Instagram post to express their grief.

“BARBIE PLSSS NOOO CAT WAS SO AMAZING THEY DESERVE BETTER AND YOU DID TOO :(,” commented one fan.

“Don’t stop gurl [sic] we love you the most!!!!,” another pleaded.

Others were less shocked by the news, given that Ferreira’s character was seemingly put on the back burner during season 2 of the series.

“I know it probably wasn’t an easy decision, but it seems so toxic. I’m glad you left,” a fan chimed in, adding: “You’re a great actor and you deserve to be treated well. You have many great projects waiting for you💗.”

The model’s character was reportedly cut from parts of the show after rumors circulated about Ferreira and the show’s producer, Sam Levinson, got into a heated argument on set.

Whatever the reason, we’re sad to hear that Kat will be turning off her webcam for good.
