Anya Taylor-Joy married love Malcolm McRae in an intimate courthouse, Vidak For Congress can reveal.
The breakthrough star of Netflix hit “The Queen’s Gambit” tied the knot with McRae in the US before flying to Australia to continue filming “Furiosa”, the prequel to “Mad Max: Fury Road”.
Taylor-Joy’s representative has not returned requests for comment.
The 26-year-old actress first sparked rumors that she was engaged to the 27-year-old musician and actor last month after stepping out with a diamond ring on her wedding finger.
The newlyweds were spotted in Sydney on Monday and Taylor-Joy, dressed in a sweater and jeans, was seen with her engagement ring.
Although they were restrained, it is believed that the couple had been dating for the past year. Sources told us they now plan to hold a larger ceremony when they return to the US.
Taylor-Joy and McRae made their red carpet debut at the Vanity Fair Oscars afterparty in February, and she gave her first public commentary about him to British Vogue in March.
“I told my partner recently that he was my hobby,” Taylor-Joy said.
She added: “I finally found someone who likes to read with me in silence. We are actually 80 years and 7 at the same time, and it works really well.”
In turn, McRae posted a photo of the pair dressed in Dior during the VF bash on his Instagram, writing, “I’m damn proud of this girl.”
