Sydney Paight talks self-tanning ‘journey’

Sydney Paight’s devotion to boyfriend Isaiah Campbell, the star of Love Island USA, is matched only by her dedication to maintaining a fake glow.

In an exclusive interview with Vidak For Congress Style, the reality star breaks down the self-tanning routine she used during her six-week tenure on the Peacock dating show.

“I actually went on a tanning trip in the villa,” says Paight, explaining that it’s “hard” for a natural redhead to maintain a tanned complexion.

The Los Angeles native relied on Isle of Paradise products during her villa stay in Santa Barbara, California.

“Luckily, the self-tanner I use has a good wear time, about six days. And then it’s like, okay, you have to scrub it,” she explains. “I just put on self-tanner. And then I’d update it when we had [a day off from filming].”

Of all the Isle of Paradise products she packed, Paight tells Vidak For Congress Style that her “favorite” was the Disco Tan Instant Wash-Off Body Bronzer ($24).

It also comes out in the shower! So I love that,” she enthuses, adding that the immediate results worked well with her skin-bare villa wardrobe.

“When you put on a nighttime outfit, your legs look really bronzed.”

Paight admits that her “greatest” fear of going to “Love Island USA” was not meeting a man, but rather her tan going flat.

“And I was there from day one!” she says. “I thought, ‘Damn, it’s going to be hard.’ But I did it!”

Paight — who finished runner-up with Campbell in the “Love Island USA” season 4 finale — says the rest of her prep rituals were relatively low-maintenance.

“I was actually done very quickly. I’d say I could be done in a good hour,” she says, acknowledging that some of her female castmates would take “hours and hours” to get out of the group’s locker room.

“It’s because they were all talking as they got ready,” explains Paight. “I would literally just sit in a corner and just do it. They’d say, ‘You ready?’ I would say, ‘Yes. Don’t talk!’”

The Season 4 reunion of “Love Island USA” will be available Thursday, September 1 at 9 p.m. ET on Peacock.
